The MacBook Pro is Apple’s flagship laptop. Used by musicians, designers, developers and everyday computer users; it is stylish and powerful. The MacBook Pro comes in either 15″ or 17″ screen size and there are a variety of configuration options to alter the base specifications as you see fit.

The MacBook Pro In Detail

The MacBook Pro is one of the most gorgeous laptops on the market today; it is absolutely stunning. The MacBook Pro has a very aesthetically pleasing metallic finish and every detail has been lovingly thought about to create a brilliant end product.

The keyboard is one of my favorite parts of the MacBook Pro - it is brilliant to use! The keys feel ergonomically shaped and a joy to type with.

The track pad is large and easy to use and if you come from a Windows background it will only take a few days before you forget you ever needed two buttons. The duel finger scrolling on the track pad is also great and really easy to do.

The ‘MagSafe’ power adapter means there’s no possibility of trashing your laptop should you trip on the power cable.

The iTunes and volume control keys are also a welcome addition on the new models and the speakers are of higher quality than other laptops.

MacBook Pro Specifications

The key specifications of the base model are as follows (correct at time of writing, April ‘08):

  • 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • 2GB memory
  • 200GB hard drive
  • Double-layer SuperDrive
  • NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB

Even the base MacBook Pro is a more than capable machine that you are not going to worry about upgrading for a good while. It will be able to cope with all new games and any applications you through at it with ease.

MacBook Pro Conclusion

The MacBook Pro is a beautiful machine, as powerful as it is gorgeous. It is a great choice for professionals who don’t want to be tied down to a desk, as well as individuals who want a stylish laptop.

All this style and power does, however, come at a premium price, with the base model coming in at just under $2000. However, for those who can afford it, the MacBook Pro is a luxury laptop that will surely meet and exceed all your expectations.
